That Feel of Velvet

You watch her, the dancer, glide along the floor, fall away into shadows, and grasp the camera with her eyes as if she longs for you. The music drones behind her, accentuating her gestures and filling the room with a mirrored emotion. You approach the headphones, and when placing them on are transported to the studio. You hear every laboured breath and heavy stomp of the dancer, but only you are privy to this in that moment. You are pulled away from the gloss of the music and notice the intimate shaky camera work reacts not with the music but with the dancer herself. You take the headphones off and fall back into the rhythm of the video while another takes their turn experiencing HER.
